UNDERSTANDING PAIN

Pain is an inevitable part of life – we all experience it to a lesser or greater degree at some point or points in our lives. In fact, it would be dangerous if we didn’t feel pain. It serves an important biological purpose, allowing our bodies to register that we’re in danger or that an injury needs attention.

There are many different types of pain, from acute to chronic, and a number of types of pain medication to deal with these pains, from effective, over-the-counter tablets, to stronger, prescription-only pain medication for more severe pain.

Over the next few pages we reveal more about the definition of pain, what can bring you relief, such as Nurofen, and how this pain medication and their ingredients work. If there are any questions we haven’t answered, we encourage you to speak to your doctor.
